ELISA Kits

As has been demonstrated earlier, the ELISA is a useful tool in the diagnosis of acute fever and has the advantage of being easy and quick, requiring a single dilution of serum. Detection kits for serological diagnosis of Coxiella burnetii infection are available.

Coxiella burnetii Phase 1 IgG/IgA ELISA resp. Coxiella burnetii Phase 2 IgG/IgM ELISA are qualitative and/or quantitative tests for detection of human antibodies in serum and plasma directed against Coxiella burnetii Phase 1/2.

The Coxiella burnetii Phase 2 IgM test system is used for the detection of acute Coxiella burnetii infections.

The Coxiella burnetii Phase 2 IgM/IgG assays are used for the differential diagnosis of infections of the respiratory tract, especially atypic pneumonia.

The Coxiella burnetii Phase 1 IgG/IgA and Phase 2 IgG tests are used for the diagnosis of chronic Q-fever disease.

All ELISA Coxiella burnetii assays are used for the serological follow-up in acute and chronic diseases.

The ELISA assays (QF-E101, E102; E201, E202, E301, E302) are suitable for serological surveillance of Coxiella burnetii Infection in goat, bovine, and sheep, respectively.
